In a city in the South of China, 80 years ago, during a period of battles between war lords, a series of mysterious murders occur in an ammunition factory. With one detail: all the victims are killed with vanishing bullets. Song Donglu, a scrupulous detective, and his partner Gui Zhui, the faster shooter in town, begin an investigation on the mysterious case.
