Chudy is an actor who travels with his theater company. After many years away from home, he returns to his hometown to find his mother on the deathbed and ends up meeting Andrzejek, whom Chudy recognises a kind of his double. The new acquaintance becomes an enigma to be unraveled and turns into an obsession for Chudy in this story about loneliness, frustration and madness.
