What does it mean to have a beautiful, lively, frivolous, embarrassing mother? This is the trial that has accompanied Bruno, Anna’s firstborn, ever since he was eight years old. Everything began in the summer of 1971, when they went to watch the traditional election of the ‘Queens’ of Livorno’s most popular bathing establishment, and Anna was unexpectedly crowned the “most beautiful mother”.
