Filmed in the cities of São José do Egito, in Pernambuco, and Ouro Velho e Prata, in Paraíba, the documentary’s main character is poetry itself, which is present at the daily life of this population who lives on the border of two Brazilian provinces. The poetic verve shows up at parties, houses, streets, markets, barber shops and bars in the voices of the decedents of notorious poets from the region and the inhabitants who live with this tradition, reminding stories of singing, poetic battles and arguing about the feeling and the themes of local poetry.
