Rogéria, Jane Di Castro, Divina Valéria, Camille K, Fujika de Halliday, Eloína dos Leopardos, Marquesa and Brigitte Búzios are iconic characters from the first generation of transvestite artists in Brazil that challenged the moral of a country at the height of a rigid military dictatorship, in the 1960/70s in performances at Teatro Rival, produced by Américo Leal, Leandra Leal’s grandfather. The documentary observes their 50-year careers on stage, and also struggling for human rights and individual freedoms in Brazil of yesterday and today.
