Twenty-four hours in the life of a married woman for whom nothing compares to the intimate satisfaction of seeing a steaming dish served with admirable punctuality at lunchtime. One Monday night, she decides to run away. After a night of wandering, she might again become the woman she had been before years of routine. Never having been successful with any man other than her husband, she will now meet a young foreigner and live a disgraceful story.
