The Wedding (1972)

Sobre o filme

A Polish poet living in Cracow has decided to marry a peasant girl. The wedding is attended by a heterogeneous group of people from all strata of Polish society, while the bridegroom, a painter friend, and a journalist each in turn is confronted with specters of Polish past. Based in a play by the same title written by Stanisław Wyspiański, a Polish playwright, painter and poet.

Winner of the Silver Shell at the San Sebastián Film Festival.
