The saga of Guima, a young poet who believes to be the victim of “solar ultraviolence” during the hottest summer in Salvador in 50 years. The supposed disease is caused by the ruthless heat of the town. Mixing reality and fantasy, the film presents a tropical/chaotic Salvador, the opposite of the stereotyped city shown on postcards, on a journey in search for the redemptive air conditioning that can save this contemporary anti-hero of what suffocates his existence.
