Joe continues telling Seligman her story: she is living with Jerôme and they conceive a child, but it becomes clear that her sexual demands are too high for her partner. Jerôme gives her permission to see others while trying to control his jealousy. While Joe’s encounters get more fetishistic, she starts seeing K, a sadomasochist who teaches her the thin line between pain and pleasure. It soon becomes clear that Joe will have to choose between motherhood and living her life for her own sexual gratification.
