A former dancer returns for the first time in years to his childhood village in order to attend his mother’s funeral. He discovers that the love of his youth still lives there, trapped in an unhappy marriage with the town priest. The dancer and his former lover secretly resume their liaison and slowly rekindle their old love. Furious, the priest will evoke God’s laws to put an end to the affair.
