A group of teens in a Turkish prison struggles to survive under hideous conditions in a facility that also separately houses men and women. They proceed to organize and fight back while joking, suffering and learning from the inhumanity they wallow in. The film was made by Yilmaz Güney in France after he escaped from a Turkish prison and many cast members in the film are actual Turkish expatriates.
