American author Nicholas Pierce calls a cosmetologist named Kika to his cottage in order to make-up the dead body of his stepson, Ramón. Kika ends up reviving Ramón, who was not dead and is actually catatonic, and eventually moves in with him. While living with Ramón, Kika begins an affair with Nicholas. Their love triangle also faces interference from the eccentric tabloid television reporter Andrea Scarface, Nicholas’ former lover, who hopes that following them will lead to an exciting news story.
