Paco and his younger brother Luis lead their lives without direction, living with their parents in Portoviejo and engaging in drug use. Paco has a love affair with his old friend Lucía, who is married to another man, while Luis sings and plays guitar in a local punk band that grows in popularity. One day, out of desperation, Luis and Paco decide to steal a porcelain horse from their parents’ house in order to purchase more drugs. A fight ensues between the brothers and their father, with the consequences haunting Luis and Paco forever.
