Sobre o filme

While Wal-Mart improves on its strategy to dominate the retail market in the world - including in Brazil - Robert Greenwald exposes the dark side of the giant that has ruined businesses throughout the United States. The film follows along with several personal stories showing Wal-Mart employees who are dependent on public health and workers so scared of anti-union espionage, they are afraid to communicate one with the other. In Asia, cheap supply is ensured by semi-slave labor and, in the United States the company has the benefits of heavy investments and incentives from the state. Some people, however, are prepared to stand up for themselves: one community, for instance, resolves to keep Wal-Mart outside the city.
