A journey through Brazil’s romantic, erotic and emotional imaginary, conducted by the main singers of the countries’ romantic music, also known as brega (kitsch). Lyrics of popular artists such as Agnaldo Timóteo, Waldik Soriano, Reginaldo Rossi, Nelson Ned, Amado Batista, Peninha, Walter de Afogados e Wando, among others, become chronicles of the dramas of conjugal life. In the film, the themes of these songs are related to ordinary people’s love stories.

The documentary also brings testimonials of popular singers such as Agnaldo Timóteo, Wando, Amado Batista, Lindomar Castilho, Nelson Ned, Walter de Afogados and Rodrigo Mell, the latest a member of the new generation of kitsch music.
