In a small town in up-country Rio Grande do Sul, young Camila, daughter of a rich ranch-owner, is raped and left stranded on the edge of a river. Months later, a mysterious, solitary youth arrives in Rio de Janeiro, bent on molesting a young girl from Rio, Carol, with whom he embarks on a strange relationship. Carol is sister of Bruno, a seductive young man who lives in Australia and is in town on holiday. The brother and sister go to a party together where Carol meets Miguel. Sazão, a friend, is brutally struck down from behind and falls unconscious. That same night, Camila arrives in Rio de Janeiro with news that leads the group to take a new, unexpected turn. More and more involved in a dangerous plot, these characters seem to follow along towards one same tragic fate.
