Barbara is one of those successful architects who would like to be a racing driver. However, a train is about to arrive in Berlin with Ilke, her daughter from a marriage broken a long while ago. Ilke has only been able to locate her mother whom she has not seen for 20 years, because she has had the assistance of a detective with mysterious contacts. Ilke walks into Barbara’s house, life, and family, at first, without causing a disturbance. However, as the detective begins to tell her of details of her mother’s life, the balance is slowly eroded. Barbara is forced to face the past that she had set aside a long while before.
