Road-movie with a main protagonist in the shape of a burial urn with ashes and four old friends. Jack Dodd died in the same way as he lived: with a smile on his face, at the races. Before he dies, he makes one last request: that his ashes be scattered in the sea at Margate. The film follows along with his friends Ray, Lenny, Vic, and Vince all the way down to the ocean with the ashes. On the way, they go over their lives, their love affairs, and disillusions.
