Sita, 25, a karaoke bar hostess moves in a small attic room in a house cum studio belonging to Johan, 50, a traveling photographer. Sita also moonlights as a prostitute. One day, she is gang raped by a group of drunken customers and is badly beaten up and Johan saves her. Sita decides that she can no longer return to her life as a bar hostess and offers to be Johan`s servant because she cannot pay the rent. Sita finds out that Johan has only a few months to live and eventually helps him to fulfill three wishes which are represented in three photographs. One, a photo of the sea which is his wish to travel on a ship and visit China; the second, a photo of railway tracks which represents his yearning to travel by train and the third is a photo of an empty chair beside an old camera which is his quest to find a successor.
