A drama with a touch of humor about a couple from Hong Kong who goes to the United States for their daughter Maggie’s commencement exercises. Together with their other daughter, Jen, they decide to spend a weekend on a trip from Los Angeles to the Arizona desert to see the Grand Canyon. Maggie’s car breaks down which makes the journey sheer hell. Some of the well-kept secrets of each are made known, all of which with desastrous consequences. As a result, all four begin to see themselves and their family in a new light. The film was awarded prizes in the film festivals in Seattle, Austin, Fort Lauderdale, Saint Louis, and Atlanta.
