In contemporary China, a young man working for a construction company has no money to celebrate his birthday. When he asks his boss for a loan, he winds up being detailed off to watch over the body of an employee who died at work. As from then, the young man carries the corpse about in a vain endeavor to deliver the body to the family. This was English director`s Conrad Clark first feature and earned him a prize at the San Sebastian Festival.
