Lolita Cassard is a 20 year old girl. Chubby, she considers herself ugly and has no self-esteem, despite of being a gifted lyric singer and having a boyfriend who loves her. The real reason for that is her complete inability of calling her father’s attention, Étienne Cassard, a well-succeeded writer, but an insensible man. A radical egocentric, Étienne is obsessed by the fear of aging, and tries to compensate this complex by dating girls much younger than him. A chain of complicated relationships is created when Sylvia Miller, Lolita’s singing teacher, finds out that her father is Cassard, her favorite author. The teacher’s husband, Pierre Miller, is also a writer, who is living bad inspiration moment, besides the lack of self-confidence. These people will spend a weekend in the same place, where the great show will be the unmasking of each one of them, moved by a great irony over the fake appearance inside and outside the family.
