Liu Xu and Chen Bing are college lovers with a deep affection for each other. Liu Xu was found to have been pregnant for a month in a treatment of an unexpected fainting spell. Risking being expelled from school, she struggles to make the decision to abort in order to resume her study. Ultimately, she decides to not abort. The girl repeatedly appeals to the school for approval of her study, undertaking pressures from her school, her dean, her classmates, her roommates, her friends and the society.
