Sonia is 18 and has just given birth to a son. Bruno, the father, at the age of 20, lives off petty theft, here and there, with the teen-aged crowd. Sonia and Bruno view the arrival of a baby through completely different eyes. Bruno`s attitude in relation to the child places the couple face-to-face with a severe dilemma. Following along with the fate of this young couple on the fringes of society, the film outlines a picture of an era in which values, ideals, and feelings are at risk. Winner of the Golden Palm at the Cannes Festival in 2005.
