Alicia, a film student, is about to fail the year because she cannot finish her thesis about women associated with convicts. These women refuse to be interviewed because they cannot afford to be stigmatized. She meets Elsa, who agrees to an interview as long as her son, a prisoner, is also interviewed. Alicia feels this is blackmail and tries to get out of it, but finally goes to the jail, where her world collapses.
