A documentary appropriate for the centennial of the birth of the great Brazilian poet Carlos Drummond de Andrade (1902-1987), that investigates, documents, and interprets the divers moments in his work. The objective is to transcend the mere recording of the facts in the life of Drummond and show how these blend in the transformation in his poetry. This is, therefore, a poetic documentary where the spirit, atmosphere, and emotion in art for Drummond are ever present, defining text, image, music, editing, and the dramatic development of the film. The documentary includes statements by experts on Drummond, in addition to dramatizing and musical illustration of his poems.
