Sobre o filme

A look at four year old Marla Olmstead, who was declared a child prodigy painter, a "budding Picasso" and a "pint sized Jackson Pollock" by the international media. She rocketed to international prominence and sold fortunes with her abstract paintings. But after 60 Minutes cast doubt on the authenticity of her work, her family’ world changed overnight. Director Amir Bar-Lev, who became close to the Olmsteads during the duration of filming, scrutinizes our obsession with prodigies, explores the complex debate over what constitutes a work of art, and even goes on to examine the ethics of documentary storytelling.
