Death is the theme of this documentary filmed in Mexico, the United States, Belgium, South Korea, Thailand, and Nepal. Behaviors regarding the death of relatives or friends filmed in Korea or Thailand differ totally from the standards of the industrialized West, where conduct is dictated by much more severe rules of modesty and discretion. The film seeks to show these differences and also the apprehension and insecurity of man in the face of this experience common to all living beings.
