A reflection on violence in Brazil focusing on the episode when a passenger bus was hijacked in the center of Rio de Janeiro on June 12, 2000. The event was filmed and televised live, for four hours, which shocked the country. The story of the hijacking is told parallel to the personal trajectory of the hijacker - of how a typical street child from Rio could become a dangerous criminal, with scenes from the newspaper coverage, from image on file, interviews and official documents. The origin of the violence and the crime in the country emerges from the dialog between different lines of narrative, as also, the limits we have come to.
