Silvija and the little Orzen leave the border of former Yugoslavia towards Vienna, where they settle in a tiny apartment. Her prudish aunt Ljilana and pragmatical uncle Ante look after the boy while his mother goes to work. Orzen learns a great deal about God and liberalism with the couple, but his doubts about his mother’s nightly outings remain unanswered. The boy often gets stared at in the streets and has no friends until the arrival of a Bosnian girl, on whom he develops a crush. Based on a novel by Gabriel Loidolt.
