Three different histories and apparently unrelated pains. For Michelangelo, proud young aspiring writer, everything stops with the death of his father Vincenzo. The impossibility of finally being understood, now that his book was almost finished, makes him face the possibility of giving up his dream in the name of new responsibilities. On the contrary, Chiara, his younger sister, tries with perseverance to force his brother to continue believing in himself. Antonio, owner of Cavani’s glass factory, is an old man, pragmatic, but unable to take care of his wife Marta who’s obsessed by the memory of the dead daughter. At the cost of not admitting he is scared and knowing he should stay close to Marta, he devotes himself entirely to work.
