Vittorio has, for a long time, been accountant to an unscrupulous manufacturer. He is wounded in an attempted robbery and decides to purchase a gun. He learns how to shoot and, some time later, becomes a kind of hero for the rich bourgeoisie that credit him with killing a number of criminals. When, however, Vittorio enters into friction with a gangster, he is abandoned by all and returns to his former condition. Nino Manfredi plays Vittorio and was co-author for the script.
