Nic and Jules are married and share a harmonious home at California with their teenage kids Joni and Laser. Before Joni enters university, Laser asks him for help to find their biological father, as the two of them were conceived by artificial insemination. Against her mother’s will, Joni contacts her father and soon, they identify and create ties with him. As the father starts being part of their lives, a new chapter starts for the family.
