Georgy, and ill-fated truck driver, takes a wrong turn on a highway and loses his way on the wilderness of the Russian countryside. In trying to find his way out and back to the civilization he knows, he encounters a number of local inhabitants, each with a story to tell. Amongst his encounters, he meets a heart-broken war veteran, an aggressive teenage prostitute, numerous corrupt police officers and a mysterious Gypsy woman. It becomes a trip where brutal force and survival instincts overcome humanity and common sense, as Georgy unwittingly heads towards a dead end.
