After the Cuban Revolution, Sergio, unlike his family, decides to stay in the country, writing his memoirs. He thus seeks to analyze, extend, and oppose his bourgeois values to the revolution. He recalls his childhood, family, loves, miseries, the Batista dictatorship, and the student struggles. After this process of confrontation, he discovers that everything he believed in is about to collapse.
