The rise of Fascism seen through the perspective of an Italian family between 1900 and 1945, through the trajectory and relationship of Alfredo Berlinghieri, grandson of landowner and Olmo Dalcò, a peasant bastard. Two men born on the same day and from different social backgrounds, in the midst of the social upheaval in the Italian first half of 20th century.
