Two events mark the early winter in Mafrouza: the birth of Adel and Ghada’s son and a young woman`s engagement. Within their homes, between the intimate and the holy, individuals` destinies are taking shape. Amidst the family’s agitation, each one finds their own way to live. Through their speech, the inhabitants of the slum manage to face gray areas of reality and talk about life, death and gender roles.
