Vargas is a man of 54 who is released from prison in the province of Corrientes with only one thought in mind: to find his daughter who lives in an isolated place in the midst of a jungle. To reach her, he embarks on a long and revealing journey by boat in a labyrinth of rivers deep in the dense forest. On his way, he gradually comes into contact with nature and with the riverside dwellers in a distant world, enveloped in mystery that has practically not changed during the long years he was in prison.
