Antonio and his wife decide to return to their home town after a short stay in Mexico City. Their marriage, however, is foundering after Antonio once more meets up with Andrea, his ex-fiancée, now married. Antonio and Andrea have known each other since childhood. Passion results from the renewed encounter. They begin an affair full of secrets and furtive escapes. They meet in the only hotel in town, belonging to Antonio?s brother and there, they indulge in a great diversity of sexual fantasies. Soon, passion becomes a tragedy, for all of the community gets to know of the relationship and decide to put a stop to it. Those most interested in stopping the relationship are the spinsters in town, the postman, the chief of police, a maid, but, above all, a psychopath.
