Based on a photo feature he had done for "Look" magazine, in 1949, Stanley Kubrick’s first film shows Irish-American boxer Walter Cartier during the height of his career, on the day of a fight with Bobby James. A remarkable "first short" filmed by two people with two hand-held cameras and no money.
