In 1917, Don Julio Garcia del Castaño, a powerful landowner, controls the lives of everyone who lives on his estate: from his son to the last laborer. Following ancient family rituals, he decides that it is time for his son to become a man. Thus, on the eve of the boy`s 15th birthday, Don Julio invites friends and the women from a brothel for a lively party. There, the young Julio meets Maria, a girl who will provoke the central conflict of this story.
