“At times, we believe we know someone because we read or researched about him, or saw his work, and spent hours together gathering data and information. And then, one day, we come across this same person in a cafe: we come up to him and have a personal chat with him for a while. And at this, all we thought we knew about him is left behind”. Based on this theory, director Kike Mesa tries for a sincere unprejudiced approach to film maker Jesús Franco. There is an eastern proverb that reads: “Do you really know a person when you travel with him?” This is a voyage into the very heart of Jesús Franco, by himself.
