It?s winter. A man loses his job and, in the absence of opportunity in his country, decides to emigrate. He sets off leaving his wife and daughter behind. Months go by, and the family has no news at all as to his whereabouts. Now it?s autumn. One day, a stranger arrives in town - a mechanic in search of a job. He hears about an attractive young woman, no longer with a husband, which arouses his interest. The film focuses on the effort to survive of a generation that would rather leave the country, but that are bound to family ties.
