In a sudden onslaught of sisterly love, Anne, 33 years old, a career-obsessed music executive, has invited her half-sister Marie, 18 years old, on a holiday to Benidorm. The two sisters leave for Spain, and, after a slow start, Anne and Marie are forced to revise their pictures of one another. Marie’s dogged admiration for her older sister fades and she begins to see a bitter and unhappy woman, hiding behind a facade of confidence and fake energy. The atmosphere worsens when Marie falls in love with Max (23) – a tourist whom Anne seduced at the start of their holiday. Meanwhile, Anne has managed to manoeuvre her relationship with Philip into a full-blown crisis over the phone. A nasty argument with Marie leads to an accident and forces Anne to finally re-evaluate what really counts in life.
