Around the outskirts of Lisbon, the suburb Cova da Moura was never synonymous of welfare, education or prosperity. On the contrary, it was always associated with violence, insecurity, danger, lack of education or simply poverty. Following the daily life of this suburb and the reflections of Cape Verde’s culture in the neighborhood, the documentary looks at how social exclusion is fought or perpetuated in the residents’ lives.
