Disillusioned with her love life, Ruby Weaver had given up on her quest in search of her Prince Charming. And precisely at that very moment, she runs into Sam Deed, a newcomer in town. They fall in love almost immediately; however, their relationship very quickly changes. Ruby savors her first " healthy " relationship, but Sam proves to be someone she could scarcely imagine. In truth, he is a traveler in time, coming in from the year 2470, who knows she is to die the next Friday and who is there to forestall the accident.
