Some people have freckles. Others, big teeth. Joan has thorns growing out of her fingertips. She cuts them at night, but they grow back in the morning. Her favorite spot is the water, where she doesn’s run the risk of hurting herself. Swimming, she meets a boy and finds out that she can also blossom.
