Nika Bohinc and Alexis Tioseco formed a pair of young film critics who were murdered during a burglary in their Quezon City home in September 2009. In this film, Tioseco’s best friend, Erwin Romulo, describes what happened after their deaths in one long, unbroken take. He raises his problems with the society in which he lives while wrestling with his pain. Though the film discusses sad things, the film is made with love. Alexis Tioseco used his short life to champion many current Filipino filmmakers, including John Torres (director of "Lukas the Strange"), Raya Martin (diretor de "Independencia", 33ª Mostra) and Lav Diaz. He published several interviews with Diaz, and even secretly co-produced his film Melancholia as well as an early version of Florentina Hubaldo, CTE. Diaz filmed Investigation in honor of the anniversary of Tioseco and Bohinc’s deaths and has promised to continue making work in tribute to them, including an omnibus film of 10 to 12 segments that Tioseco planned to produce.
