With sacred artisan Santinho, peddling her wares, Madalena struggles bravely on for her family`s survival, never losing hope of better days ahead. To get around the difficult financial situation, they play the loteries, until they are both taken by a fantastic dream: a treasure buried in the cemetery of the small town of Fartura. Fine dividing lines separate what is real from dream and nightmare in this desperate and amusing treasure hunt.
