The story of Maria, an immigrant from Central America forced to abandon her family in quest of the American dream. On her way to the United States, she has to make her way across Mexico where she experiences a nightmare: the injustice to which thousands of immigrants are subject - attacks, rape, and violence, in their efforts to try and make the crossing that is the subject of this documentary.
